Today, a student who has been seeing the English language in some way over the years is still unable to talk about his personal interests by putting two words together and this is a result of the traditional education system in Turkey. Even the English speakers who complete their education in a foreign language-medium college do not know the words which are the parts of life in Turkey such as “Üsküdar İskelesi”, “Babaili Yokuşu”, cob and prayer beads.
Similarly, students who are trying to learn English, learn about the giraffes, pigs or Big Ben Clock Tower which they will never see in their lives instead of learning Faculty of Bussiness Administration, School administration, graduation diploma, tuition fees, government office etc.
For example, among the words over 2000 which are needed to be taught in classes which the students are supposed to be taking at least 2 hours a week through their elementary education, It is very frequently possible to encounter the words that are not directly related to their lives while they hardly encounter the words which are directly related to their lives such as Republic of Turkey, moon and the star (symbols of the Turkish Flag), Ottoman and Islam.
As a result, when you meet a foreign person, a Turkish speaker of English finds it very hard to talk about the subjects that are related to herself or himself. One of the reasons why Turkey cannot introduce herself to other countries is a matter of a debate that if it is a result of a deficiency in our foreign language education or not.
We find the solution to prevent the students' boredom from the English language in institution of English Education. Aside from the American and English equipments, although they spend very long years in Turkey, it is natural that these expert doesn't know the needs of Turkish learners as much as Turkish teachers of English. Because they cannot comprehend the life style of Turkish students completely, the equipments which are prepared by those foreign expert are not appropriate for Turkish student's lifestyles.

My comment
This was the hardest translation i have ever done. The main reason, i think the original text itself was also hard to understand. There were some semantic shifts in the original text. However, the text was a formal and complicated text. The sentences were too long. I tried to catch the meaning while was translating it. I did not pay very much close attention to the form of it. I especially tried to concentrate on the meaning.
